Innovation across the value chain: Powering a green textile future
The textile and apparel industry is known for high energy consumption and pollution, and is a significant global source of carbon emissions. In China alone, the annual emissions from this industry reach approximately 230 million tons of CO₂e[1]. Green transformation is imperative.
As a leader in high-performance fibers, Tayho understands that true productivity in the new era is green productivity. Tayho has embedded the green development philosophy across the textile value chain—from eco-design and green materials to green technology and manufacturing—driving the industry’s low-carbon transition.
For the dyeing and finishing stage, Tayho pioneered the Ecody® water-saving green dyeing technology. In 2023, it launched a 40,000-ton Ecody® industrial project, establishing the world’s first green lighthouse factory in the dyeing sector. Covering the full process from fiber and yarn to fabric and garment, this factory offers a replicable model for low-carbon production.

Leading in Textile Recycling and Circularity
The circular use of textile waste is also critical for reducing emissions and resource consumption. As the world’s largest textile producer, China generates a massive volume of post-consumer textiles. These can be recycled into renewable materials.
At the national level, policies have been issued to promote textile recycling. The “Implementation Plan for Accelerating Waste Textile Recycling,” jointly issued by the NDRC and other departments in 2022, sets targets for 2025: a 25% recycling rate and 2 million tons of regenerated fiber production. By 2030, these goals rise to 30% and 3 million tons, respectively.
Tayho is advancing this mission by building globally leading chemical fiber recycling demonstration projects. It has launched production lines for recycled spandex, meta-aramid, and para-aramid, enabling material-to-material regeneration. This significantly reduces resource use and environmental pollution, contributing Tayho’s “green wisdom” to carbon peaking and neutrality goals.

“Innovation for a Better Life” is Tayho’s long-standing mission. As a leader in the high-performance fiber industry, it continues to move forward, using green innovation to guide the textile and apparel industry’s low-carbon transformation.
“With continued innovation and efficient operations, Tayho aims to balance economic performance with environmental responsibility,” Du Yuchun concluded. “We are committed to aligning with China’s green development strategy and future industry trends—reducing environmental costs while providing customers with green, high-performance fiber products. Looking ahead, we will stay committed across the ESG dimensions, fostering sustainable business development in harmony with human progress.”
